Incredible 2 day trek & Homestay, Cusco, South America - Peru Fitness Holidays

The Laguna Trek and homestay

An exciting two day exploration of Ausangate!

Peru Fitness Holidays offers the exciting opportunity to stay in a small Andean community before exploring the incredible Lagunas of the Ausangate trek.

Difficulty Level - Medium
Distance - 18km
Altitude 4000 - 4600 - 4000 metres
Scenery - Breathtaking
Worth it - 100%

Leaving Cusco in the morning of the first day, we pass incredible scenery as we make the 3.5 hour journey to the small community.

We will be welcomed with a Mate of Coca and lunch before having the afternoon to relax and explore the surrounding area.

The community has several hot springs, so you are able to relax in the warm water, or if you prefer you can explore the impressive area. Staying with a local family, you will be able to view their skilled textile work whilst enjoying a nice dinner prepared by the family.
The next day, we leave early and begin the trek. The route is extremely scenic, passing many lagunas, some turquoise and some crystal clear. We will have plenty of opportunity to stop to take photos or even take a dip in one of the mountain top lakes.
Along the way there are two lookouts that showcase the beauty of the Ausangate area.
We eventually make it back to the community, where a late lunch will be waiting for you. You will be able to relax in the hot springs before traveling back to Cusco for the evening.

Words are difficult to describe this place but hopefully this will convince you!
