Inca Warrior Bootcamp

Inca Warrior Bootcamp fitness holiday

There are no typical days in our Inca Warrior Bootcamps, each day is unique, each day is full of fitness and each day will be unforgettable.

Similar to our Inca Bootcamp, the Inca Warrior Bootcamp will take you on a journey through the phenomenal Sacred Valley combining your love of fitness, adventure and discovery. You will get to experience incredible sights, breathtaking scenery and unforgettable moments. Our Inca Warrior Bootcamps will push you to the limit to challenge your body and mind.

Our Inca Warrior Bootcamps are a truly unique experience to challenge yourself and discover the amazing Peru.

Though most of the participants on the Inca Warrior Bootcamp will be well on their way to a fit lifestyle, you will leave Peru with a newfound motivation and positive outlook to take your fitness and lifestyle goals to the next level.

Please note that this is a provisional itinerary and there could be changes to times and activities.

Day 1: Cusco

Day 1 of the Inca Warrior Bootcamp

The Boot camp will start mid morning in the city of Cusco. From here, we will take private transport into the heart of the Sacred Valley. A healthy lunch will be waiting for us at our hotel before we have our first afternoon workout. The evening will be a time for relaxation and to get some rest before a busy week of fitness and fun.

Day 2: Chinchero, Piuray (Paddle boarding)

Peru Fitness Holidays Paddle Boarding

Today we will rise early and after a early morning jog and stretching exercise, breakfast will be served. We will then travel the short distance to Lake Piuray - the peaceful and picturesque lake is surrounded by hills and agricultural terraces. In the distance are the impressive snow-capped mountain peaks of the Cordillera Vilcabamba. Once settled we begin with: a gentle breathing exercise, a yoga-based warm up, and a Stand Up Paddleboarding and safety briefing on the land. The lake offers perfect conditions, ideal for beginners and experts alike. We have been able to team up with SUP Cusco and have designed our very own Inca Warrior Paddle Boarding session, which will make the arms burn by the time you make it back to land! We'll be waiting for you on the lakeside, which is the perfect location for our next workout!

For those that do not want to partake in the paddle boating there is the option to hike around the lake, walking in the real Peru past old Incan terraces that are still in use today and seeing farmers going about their daily activities. The walk is approximately 5.5km, which will be followed by our lakeside workout.

On our way back to the IFK Lodge, we will visit Chinchero, which is believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. You will have the perfect opportunity to explore the colorful, open-air sunday market and learn of the traditional weaving, for which the town is famed.

We will also visit the impressive Salineras salt mines before returning to the Hotel in the late afternoon for our special sunset workout.

Day 3: Inca Trail - Huchuy Qosqo

Today is a challenging day where we will trek from Lake Piuray along original Inca Trail until we reach Huchuy Qosqo. This is a 10-mile route, with incredible scenery and an even more impressive finale that gives us views throughout the Sacred Valley.

For those that are feeling that they still have a little more energy to burn, there is the option to have some hill sprints (top left corner of the photo) and for everybody else a workout in the ruins themselves overlooking the valley below.

Day 4: Lares Hot Springs

After a morning full of fun workouts next to the river of the Sacred Valley, we will leave our hotel after lunch and travel deep into the valley, passing through the market town of Calca before we arrive at the hot springs of Lares. Here you will have the afternoon to relax in the hot natural waters, with another workout planned for late afternoon.

We will have dinner in the Hot Springs and spend the night there. (Please note that the accommodation is basic for this night with a shared bathroom).

Day 5: Huarán - Lares Trek

Inca bootcamp Lares Trek

We will leave early from the Hot Springs and travel in private transport to Huacahuasi, a small village on top of Lares, from here we will start to trek towards Patacancha.

This is another beautiful route of 9 miles filled with lots of Llamas and mountain top lakes. The first part of this route will be a slow climb to reach the highest point 4,400 metres before gradually dropping back down into the small community of Patacancha.

From here, we will have lunch with a local family before being picked up in private transport and traveling down to the town of Ollantaytambo.

In the late afternoon, we will again have a much needed stretching and workout before having the evening to explore Ollantaytambo.

Day 6: Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes

Workout in Ollantaytambo

Today, a sunrise morning stretching and movement session will start the day off. After breakfast, we will have the morning workout before you will take the train to Aguas Calientes - the door to Machu Picchu.

The evening will be spent in Aguas Calientes where you can visit the hot springs, do some shopping or get an early night ready for Machu Picchu in the morning.

Day 7: Machu Picchu, Cusco

Today you will rise early and catch the bus up to Machu Picchu at 5:30am. You will have a guided tour of Machu Picchu that will last for 90 minutes. After this, you will have the rest of the morning to explore the incredible wonder of the world.

If you would like to climb either Huayna Picchu (young mountain) or Machu Picchu mountain (both additional extras) then please book these when making your deposit as tickets are limited and sell out fast.

You will hike down from Machu Picchu (45 minutes) and have lunch before catching the train back to Ollantaytambo and then you will take private transport back to Cusco.

Day 8 – Rainbow Mountain

Today we have an incredible route unique to Peru Fitness Holidays. Better known as the Llama trek it is truly a breathtaking adventure from beginning to end. It takes us through a valley filled with grazing Llamas and Alpacas. If this isn't enough for you, then you just have to peer up and see the ice capped peaks of Ausangate (6384 metres) looming over you for most of the trek, one of the most awe inspiring backdrops of the Peruvian Andes.

After a relatively gentle beginning we start to make a steady climb to reach the first pass of 5000 metres. If you peer back, a turquoise laguna shines below Ausangate. From here we drop down passing mountain top lagunas before we make a final climb reaching the impressive Rainbow mountain and 5,000metres once again.

At 19km, this route is truly challenging, though there is the option to hire horses if it proves to difficult. The saying "Nothing worth having comes easy" definitely resonates here, as the memories and photos that you take from this trek, will stay with you forever.

Once we arrive back in Cusco, we will finish the Boot Camp with a goodbye meal.
